The heartfelt story of an African-American father learning to do his daughter’s hair for the first time. Zuri is a 7-year-old girl with exceptionally long locks. After trying to do her hair on her own without success, and with her mother unavailable to help her get ready for the big event, her father, Stephen, must undertake the task. This may seem simple enough, but soon, we realize that Zuri’s hair has a mind of its own.
